SILLIE BEENIES
A short animation with fun and silly characters
The goal for this project was to play around with textures, colors, and shapes and make fun and interesting characters out of them, looking and acting different from each other.
01. Sketch
I wanted to keep the shapes simple, so I drew quick
sketches of characters formed with just a couple of
shapes and lines.
02. Texture
Then I drew some patterns and facial features with
watercolor and marker on my sketchbook.
03. Animate
I put together the textures and shapes that I sketched
and started animating. I stuck with a colorful palette
to give a feeling of joy and happiness. The whole
process was kind of improvised - I chose the colors
and textures on the fly.
