Hear how the wind is blowing across the field, how the meadow is spiring, feel the power of our earth and honor its fertility. Inspired by the wealth of Ukrainian land, we have created interior object by RUDA Studio - the cabinet Solomia.
Seemingly trapped between past and future, he became an example of a timeless object. It combines the stylization of vintage art deco and the philosophy of contemporary Ukrainian design. The cabinet was designed by studio founder and designer Oleksandra Rudenko. It is made of the oak and inlaid with ornaments from the rye straw. The origin of the cabinet begins in Western Ukraine, where 80-year-old grandfather Orestes collects straw for our products. He carefully sorts the straws by length and diameter. During this time, the basis of the cabinet is made - the oak frame. The countertop passes the stitching stage, where the texture of the wood appears. In our workshop, the straw goes through a staining stage, after which it is inlaid with the cabinet itself.

Почуй як вітер ходе по полю та як колосяться лани, відчуй могутність нашої землі та вшануй родючість її.
Надхненні багатством рідної землі, студія розробила предмет інтер'єру - комод Solomia. Він народжений з любові до нашого краю. Начебто застиглий між минулим та майбутнім, комод став прикладом позачасового предмету. У ньому поєднались стилізація вінтажного ар-деко та філософія сучасного українського дизайну. Комод розроблений засновницею студії та дизайнером Олександрою Руденко. Він виконаний із масиву дуба та інкрустований орнаментами з житньої соломи. Зародження комода починається на Західній Україні, де 80-річний дідусь Орест збирає солому для наших виробів. Він бережливо сортує її по довжині та діаметру. У цей час виробляється основа комода—дубовий каркас. Стільниця проходить этап брашарування, де проявляється текстура деревини. У нашій майстерні солома фарбується, після чого нею інкрустується сам комод.
Solomia cabinet will be a visual dominant both in minimalist interiors and saturated-heavy spaces. Functionally, it can be used in many rooms. Whether it a living room, hallway, bedroom or parlour.

Комод Solomia стане візуальною домінантою як серед мінімалістичних інтер’єрів, так і насищено-важких просторах. Функціонально його можна використовувати в багатьох приміщеннях, будь то вітальня, передпокій, спальня чи кабінет. Комод створений на межі минулого з майбутнім, функції та мистецтва, на межі уяви та дійсності, де виникає позачасовість.
