Brainstorm
Low Fidelity Prototype
The primary function for this app would be to allow users to setup a workout schedule with provided feedback on progress.

In order to setup a hierarchy I decided to setup 3 main pages consisting of the dashboard which stores all the data for current activities and progress, a schedule page for users to create, setup and/or update their workout routine and notifications for allowing users to disable or enable alerts for exercise reminders.

Rather than having multiple graphs representing every workout schedule in one single page and crowded together I decided to let them have their own individual page in order to keep a clear and simple layout. This allows users to move left and right between pages to view the individual exercise they want to focus on.
User Testing and Feedback
User testing will be a simple procedure where the low fidelity prototype will be shown to friends and colleagues working in different disciplines for evaluation. The main focus of this testing is to work on the layout of the prototype, the information structure and fix any faults that may appear before developing towards a high fidelity prototype.

From the feedback I received many positive responses to the spacious layout and have noted that they like being able to see each exercise in it’s own identity and how big and clearly the information is shown. However many questioned what the lighter blue bar graph would represent. The initial reason was to use it as an anchor for the graph itself as the layout was spacious and gave off the vibe that it was floating in the empty space around it. As it confuses users it would be best to take a more subtle approach.

Other feedback is mainly related to minor layout adjustments such as increasing the spacing between the ‘Goal’ information and the graph itself as it is a more spacious layout they would prefer everything to be less crowded.
High Fidelity Prototype
For my high fidelity prototype I went back to my moodboard for inspiration and decided to approach the design with a dark theme base with the aid of vibrant colours as a highlight for the more important areas of focus. As the design has very minimal body of text and information per page I decided that using this theme style would create a more attractive atmosphere for users without adding any unnecessary distraction from the information presented.
