SONOS (Concept)
GO HEADPHONES
In 2020 it dawned on me that Sonos, the innovators of the wireless multi-room music listening experience, do not manufacture headphones. So, I conceptualized the Sonos Go Headphones as a platform to explore some new skills and to design what I wish to see in the world.

In keeping with the Sonos DNA of placing user experience "deep in the bones of the product, not on the skin," I began by considering the angle of the user's ears. Then I adopted maximum drop resistance of the Sonos Move design that will not explode into pieces when dropped by minimizing moving parts and aesthetic shrouds and by embedding adjustable components of the headband into the ear cups. Less parts also reduces sound vibration between assembled parts. Moving outward from the bones and to the skin, I integrated the composed geometries of the Sonos family, holes for speaker breathability and clarified the capacitive touch controls.
Foldable components for travel and storage are embedded inside of the ear cups for maximum drop resistance.
Adopted charging dock concept of Sonos Move for wireless charging and an optional USB-c port for those extended trips away from home.

Silent disco compatible with Wifi streaming.
