In Japan’s Shinto belief, the wolf is a messenger of kami or gods. It has a connection to Amaterasu, the god of the sun. In ancient times, villagers in the mountains believed that the wolf would protect them and their crops. Of course, the reality is quite different. The wolves ate livestock were eaten and were hunted to extinction. This piece is also inspired by the video game Ōkami.

In this piece I tried digital painting, and it's the first time I completed one. There's a lot of areas that need improvement, and some areas are unfinished due to deadlines. However, it was a good experiment and I learnt a lot from it.
