Stokke Clikk

Furniture

The Stokke Clikk High Chair is the result of a comprehensive and highly user-centric design process. A strong focus on ergonomics coupled with uncompromising attention to detail has resulted in a simple, modern and attractive chair with extraordinary ease of use.

The Clikk chair was given its name from one of its main features: The clickable legs that snap to the seat instantly and securely without the use of any tools, and that can be removed just as easily by the push of a button.

In this particular project, the initial work took place on the other side of the globe. Astro Studios in San Francisco were commissioned by Stokke to explore the US high chair market. They conducted thorough and insightful research and ideation, culminating in a series of user-centric design concepts.

Back in Norway, we picked up the baton, guiding the project through the design phase.
An important part of our work was about aesthetics; shaping the product to fit with the visual DNA of Stokke, maintaining high quality surfacing throughout all the details, and developing the CMF concept. We were also focusing on the functional qualities of the chair, making it ergonomic and user friendly.
