Star Wars - Darth Vader Cartoon

This art piece was made in Adobe Illustrator. It depicts Darth Vader from Star Wars, as a cartoon character, stylized in a fitting style. It bordered an anime style but wasn't as detailed, keeping to being a bit more simplified but not by a wide margin.

After I'd sketched the location and the pose that I wanted, I built the character in Adobe Illustrator, piece-by-piece. Once that was done, I colored Darth Vader appropriately before I used more realistic lighting. By that, I meant I used gradients to simulate the kind of light that would be made from the magma and the red lightsaber and the effects they'd have on Darth Vader's appearance.

As for terrain, I chose Mustafar, since I felt it was only appropriate for Darth Vader and I thought it would give interesting color choices and lighting to the piece.
