Printmaking: Hummingbird
Since I’ve made quite a few digital pieces that mimicked a lino-cut or woodcut effect, my daughter and son-in-law gave me a printmaking kit as a gift. So here’s my attempt at making a hummingbird print with it.
I drew this hummingbird in pencil and went over it with a permanent marker, then I carved it it out with the carving tool.
I added ink with an ink roller.
I placed the inked image on paper.
