BANUGOSHASP NAMEH

It is one of the oldest epics about a woman warrior in Persian literature, by an unknown poet. The epic describes the exploits of Banugoshasp together with her brother Faramarz in Turan and India. That has 981 verses, probably from the 11th or 12th century.

This story is about Banu, the daughter of the great hero Rostam, who in turn experiences her own great battles. The story is about a woman's strength and courage. The special thing about this heroine is a special female personality duality.
On the one hand, she is a free female heroine, in which specifically male skills have manifested massively, and on the other hand, she also obeys a patriarchal system.
