Branding Design for Kat Alexander

Kat wanted to rebrand her business to be more professional and span more platforms. Kat is a wellness professional who offers coaching, webinars, speaking engagements about how to process trauma and learn how to heal. Prior to rebranding, she had a basic Wordpress site and no branding for her business.

Kat wanted her brand to show reliability and trustworthiness. I decided to go with a bold sans serif font to show a modern look with all caps to have more even heights and to make more of a statement. Kat is bold to give more weight to her name. I also added kearning to give literal breathing room to her name as to emphasize the calm, relaxing and safe tone.

I chose teals as her main color because she favored that color but also because of the color psychology between green and blue. Blue evokes more trustworthiness and an established platform while green can show energy, health and healing.

Kat expressed she wanted more natural imagery so I wanted to pick images that stay consistent with the color scheme and are simple. The idea of having natural imagery shows more connection with the bigger picture, a sense of being grounded and a relaxing tone.

I picked Avenir as the main fonts because of it's clean and simple behavior and also because it's variety in weights.
