How do we get kids interested in learning and science?
Imagination. Stuff. Colors. Archetypes.
826 is a non-profit organization that serves not only as a place of fun and entertainment through inexpensive but cute and fun themed items, but also a free tutoring center. I created the Mad Scientists Emporium after researching the city of Tallahassee, FL. I noticed their enormous science community there, and wanted to latch onto this and make a fun place for kids.
This projects goal was to create a new 826 store for the city of Tallahassee, FL. 826 stores are novelty themed educational/tutoring centers for kids. Everything inside of them is affordable and fun. When researching Tallahassee, the main thing that stood out was their strong science community. To make this idea more fun and appealing to children, I made my store "The Mad Scientist's Emporium". Each element of the design harkens back to this main theme.
